Reshoots: Analysis.

It was vital that we reshot the footage from Regents canal, reason being is on the original day we filmed during the late afternoon to evening, therefore as the footage  went on the lighting differed, this was problematic because we would edit footage together from the same location but the lighting wasn't consistent, this appeared unprofessional and we wasn't happy with the footage. Therefore we decided to film in the morning where the lighting would be perfect. Another thing we noticed about the footage up to this point is that we needed more close ups, and reshooting allowed us to get more close up shots.

We collected the equipment at 9:15, and headed to Regents canal, which is a 2minute walk from our college. The weather was perfect the sun was out, this was great as lighting was our previous problem, and we are aware with editing if the footage is to bright it could always be dimmed, this wasn't the case with lightening the dark footage. The weather was ideal and allowed us to achieve some beautiful footage with the sun behind the artist, I thought we was fortunate with getting this shot because it intertwines with the narrative 'Heaven', the sun from the skies connote heaven well.

Sam and myself took turns in recording Rosetta, and whilst one was recording the other would overview the footage, and give direction in order for us to achieve shots we needed and remember our aims. This is a picture of Sam recording closes ups this was one of our requirements we filled we achieved.

Here I am recording the sun light on Rosetta, this is a close up from a low angle, here I asked for her not to lip sing because we planned on using this shot as a quick jump shot. After she continued lip singing. The shots we developed work well with the footage we already have yet also show a contrast of London weather, as the day is dim in the cemetery. I like this as it encapsulates  the home town of our artist.

Along with reshooting close ups, we had to reshot Rosettas performance which included body shoots, Rosetta pulled of a successful performance, and we was able to record quality footage.

Overal the filming of the reshoot went to plan, and was more successful in comparison to the original day of filming. The only problem from this day is the pedestrians interfering frequently, it slowed down our process and also ruined some good footage as they would walk into shot, unfortunately this is something we couldn't prevent no matter what day we filmed on.
