British Artist: How our artist fits this category.

In the planning process of the music video, we formed an artist and we decided we wanted our character to be a female british artist. British artist are well known for there rawness, their music videos are likely to to include realism, reflecting ordinary life in order for the British audience to identity with them and also for other audience insight the British life styles.

As you can see there is nothing glamorised about these videos, they both show an intimate insight to the artist life style, although in our video we didn't want to show her life style we wanted to bring in a British element by using locations close to where are artist is from (East London). 

We also used her costume to reflect her character as a British artist, as I live in East London I'm aware of the fashion trend, Shoreditch (an East London location) is famous for the vintage trend, we considered the clothing which represents her area, therefore we dressed her in vintage/retro clothing. It is was important we got her image to look British because this fulfils the category we decided on. 

Our character fits in with the British artist as she is dressed in appropriate clothing which represents the area she is from. Whilst producing the music video we considered her image this allowed us to achieve her image as a British artist as the locations are all in Britain and there's a strong British element.
