Here are four videos I've taken a likeness to in terms of the visual style & editing seen when you closely analyse the footage. In terms of the visual and editing aspect of our video I preferred the techniques used in these two videos, because they supported the core themes I wanted for our final video. I know in my previous blogs I talked about the early influences for our video but now I've seen the light & now I clearly know the visual and editing root that would best suite our final music video. The 1970's filmic style was the visual we as a group wanted, and for this to be successfully created we tried our very best to repeat a modernised musical motif. This motif followed the concepts behind retro photographic images as shown by hipstamatic.
Here are two examples of the kind of edit effect we were looking to imitate for our video. This is an modernised retro photographic image from Iphone called hipstamatic.
As a group we may not be able to replicate the whole 'stained coffee' effect however the closest to what we can imitate will be tried.
