Evaluating of Filming.

We have completed the filming stage of our music video, the final locations which decided worked best for the video consist of, Abney Park, Victoria Docks, Regents canal and Shoreditch/ Bricklane.

These locations all are in East London, which we decided upon as we are working with an artist from East London, we wanted to express her character through the music video. Whilst filming some days were more successful than others, for example the scenery shots from the first day of filming was beautiful, due to the good weather.

Within the music video progress, we sometimes felt a narrative was missing, yet once we filmed shots for the narrative and overlooked the footage from Sam's house, we felt adding another character was unnecessary and the simplicity along with the great performance and shots was enough to make a successful music video.

Rosetta, was a fantastic choice for the artist, her dedication for creating a good performance was captured on camera. She had considered the costume briefs which we discussed whilst creating the artist image, and she had put thought and prepared the outfits and make up for each location, all which followed the theme of black and white.

Overal with the filming we feel that we have enough scenery footage as well as Rosetta lip singing. We are content with what we filmed and don't believe its necessary to film again. Although we had some hard decisions on what we felt we needed to include. We learnt that not everything thats been planned will work, but it's about experimenting to see what works best. If we could change anything with filming, we would have done more filming in the holiday period as the weather was beautiful and it would have been able to make music video look consistent, saying that the diverse weather didn't turn out as such a bad thing, because it is representative of the location and it shows a contrast, the lighter days which we will edit into the video are show the heavenly side and then the more miserable days shows the everyday life.
