Assigned Roles:
Performer& Stylist:
We decided Rosetta should be the performer, she has experience with performing as she was a drama student, and also last year she performed in her thriller. This was also going to be a challenge for Rosetta as she wasn't used to putting on a persona of a singer and lip singing. She also was in charge of the style of the artist, she done the make up and prepared the outfit. Although she was in charge, the group as a whole discussed the look we were going for, and the way in which we wanted the character to perform and present themselves. She had the final decision on the outfits which the whole group had to approve of.
Filming:

(Rebecca) was in charge of the filming shots, I drew the storyboard base on the preferences which the group discussed. I was in charge of the locations which we would be filming on certain days, and the shots that we should include in the music video. As a group we did discuss what we wanted to achieve whilst filming, and I made sure we achieved so. Being in charge of the filming aspect meant, organising the roles of what people would be doing on set, for example Ryan would be controlling the speakers, and Sam would be taking behind the scene pictures and recording on the flip cam. Although I was in charge of filming other people had a go of filming, for example whilst walking around Bricklane Ryan saw some street art and felt it would be ideal to include in the video, hence he done some recording. Also as the camera person, I knew what would look good on camera so it was important to direct the performer so I could achieve good shots.
Editing:

Ryan, is also a music student and is good with software, therefore we felt it was best he took lead role in the editing side to the music video. He has the knowledge of how music works and what works best in editing. He is very familiar with the Final Cut Pro software, hence is able to achieve our ideas promptly. We continuously discuss editing as a group, and ideas we want to include. Whilst being in charge of editing it was important the amount of communication myself and Ryan had, as I was in charge of filming we had to work closely, so we could achieve the same picture. He would inform me of things he wanted to edit in, therefore I would have to prepare footage which enabled him to do so, and I also made recommendations about what we could do with the recorded footage, things I felt would look visually exciting. Ryan also has experience with dance and performing therefore he advised some direction on set for the artist. He was responsible for providing the speakers, and this made performing easier for the artist as she could hear the words clearly.
These were the three main roles, we felt by deciding upon roles, it made out life's easier. This way we could avoid conflict of ideas, as we are all aware of our positions, also it assured that individual things are remembered, when too many people are controlling a bit of everything it equals a bit of a train wreck, with all different peoples ideas clashing, therefore that would have been too time consuming and some things may have been forgotten. Although we had decided roles we all had input to every aspect whilst planning we decided our main goals, our roles were just to ensure each one gets done thoroughly, we always have contact for each member of the group and consider each others ideas, as a team we are allow each other to take part in each role but the leaders just ensure we are working toward our final ideas and don't go off track.
