I personally have been looking at different types of editing, and we discussed our ideas for editing in previous lessons. We took inspiration for the original video for Heaven, also James Blake and Lily Allen. Yet we are continuously evaluating music videos and this sparks ideas and manages to influence our decisions. Here is an example of us contacting each other in our own time, through Facebook, to create inspiration.
After seeing this video, the simplicity was inspirational. Likewise to our video it's in London the narrative isn't overcomplicated either. The aspects which I enjoyed was things such as the turning of the head, which is followed by another shot of the artist walking, this gave the impression that the artist was looking at himself. As well as this influencing our editing style we had to make sure we got the right footage which enables us to pull of such editing. Whilst filming I had to consider the editing and how it will piece together. Also in this music video there are trendy transitions which jump with the music, they don't look cheesy this is something which we hope to imitate.
