Music Video: Adding context.

Throughout planning our 'Heaven' music video, we have discussed a number of narrative. In order to make the music video more exciting we considered  adding one of Goodwins theory (including  a narrative), this draws in the audience and also make the video more rememberable.

We considered including a female as an character to accompany the artist, therefore we started filming shots, once reviewing the footage we felt it was too typical of a student. Our group sat down to regain thoughts, and discuss new possibilities for a narrative, whilst making a narrative we aimed to create a simple comprehendible narrative.

Example of our ideas:

Character- Sam
Location- Angel.
A homeless boy, dressed in rough street clothes.
shots:
Sleeping rough at night.
Selling the 'Big Issue'.
Tears in characters eyes.
Walking down Regents canal.
Stealing from a shop.
Finding a church.
Praying in a church.

Idea 2
Location- Highbury&Islington/ Abbney park/ house.

Waking up in house.
Putting the kettle on.
Sitting down, reaching for photo frame.
Looking/Holding picture frame.
Artist Lip singing overlooking Sam.
Walking into a cemetery.
Laying down flowers.
Rosetta leaving a letter for him to find.
Reading letter.

We decided to use the second idea because it has greater relevance to the title 'Heaven'.
