Analysis of roughcut

The rough cut allowed us to establish the locations used and the artist herself. We were also able to luckily, experiment with a range of effects, such as the flashing effect that we have now decided to use as an base track for the chorus as it suits the rhythm at that point in the song.

From the response to what we had at the stage of completing the rough cut we came to an realisation that certain things had to be constructively tweaked. Some of these were:

* Lack of close ups of artist
* A range of facial shots
* Regent canal shots too dark

These were some of the more prominent feedback we received when our teacher Annabel saw our rough cut. She thought we needed to go out filming asap to fill in the gaps she thought needed urgent filling. In music videos it is important that the artist is FULLY promoted accuratley. Especially if the artist is up & coming. We also had to go out to film some more as the Regents canal shots came out too dark for the fluent cycle we wanted.
