Editing:
is the process of selecting and preparing written, visual, audible, and film media used to convey information through the processes of correction, condensation, organization, and other modifications performed with an intention of producing a correct, consistent, accurate, and complete work.

For editing we are using Final Cut Pro, we used this in the AS year so we are familiar with the software, this was beneficial as we didn't need to waste time with an introduction, or time to get used to it. We were aware of what Final Cut Pro is capable of and the filter effects ect. saying that we also were aware of what it isn't capable of, which restricted our ideas for editing, for example for some parts we wanted the footage to have an old cinematic feel, also we wanted to play with the lights; knowing Final Cut Pro doesn't allow us to do such things, it made us consider alternatives for example with the light we thought at night time we can get shots of street lights and change the focus so its blurred, therefore it created a similar look for what we was going for. The other alternate was using a program called colour, our teacher offered to give us a tutorial with this software, yet there's some concerns with doing this as you can't edit it in Final Cut Pro once finalised in colour, also it is very time consuming, therefore we have decided to try and avoid this software, or to use it only for snippets of the footage and not the whole thing.

So far with the editing stage we have covered, the first shots and scenery shots, we have played with the contrast, the reason we done this is because it's unique but works well with the footage we filmed. Our main aim is to make it appear like a real music video we aspire to move away from the typical student cliches.
