Research For music: How my skills have developed

Throughout the AS year I became familiar with using the technical equipment such as JVC cameras, memory cards, tripods, lighting equipment, still cameras along with bettering my skill with the computer programs such as Final Cut Pro, Sound Track Pro, Live Type, Blogger and Hand break. Along with the planing and preparations.

List of steps whilst filming:

• Creating mindmaps and ideas- this includes destinations, mis en scene, narrative ect.
• Making a story board- This is a rough plan of how you want your shots to come out and the ordering of the footage.
• Time Table- This keeps your group organised and working within in a proper schedule hence you reach all deadlines.

These are the first preparation skills I have learn, this is the foundation of success whilst filming now moving on to the technical aspects.

• Hiring the needed equipment such as lightening equipment, umbrellas, JVC cameras, still cameras, batteries, tripods.
• Whilst working with JVC cameras make sure you have memory cards and batteries to take advantage of filming time, by insuring enough memory and battery life you won't waste time coming back another day
• Insert memory cards properly.
• Different methods of filming for example, by hand or using tripod, consider different angles.
• Uploading footage to computers then saving on hardrives to ensure you have a back up of all files. 
• Using Final cut Pro to cut footage and edit it.
• Using Sound Track Pro to insert sounds.
• Converting footage on to Hand Break and uploading and distributing on Blogger.

These are the steps that I have used and become strongly familiar with, I no longer find difficulty with transferring footage and editing on Final Cut Pro as I have become familiar with the steps to successfully filming, whilst filming/ editing in A2 there will be less time consumed and I will be able to edit in ways which I found difficult last time, for example I know how to change speed/lighting/ visual effects this will work in my favour.
