Emeli Sande's original video is set in the east end of London, Shoreditch/ Bethnal Green she takes advantage of the mis en scene to reflect her lyrics, as seen in this image the graffiti shows angel wings which connote the song lyrics being about heave. Throughout the whole music video the location is obviously in the same area, therefore in our music video we plan to explore different locations of London and possibly Brighton, for example in London- Greenwich, Portobello road, London Victoria docks, Embankment, Gainsborough studios, Regents canal and Dalston ect.
Emeli Sande's video hasn't got a range of camera angles there are mainly, close ups and mid shots; whilst plannig our music video we decided we want to include a range of shots we can edit together such as low angle, high angle, long shots, panning, tilts and so on therefore we can edit the footage together to suit the music and to create greater visual appeal.
'Heaven' music video does show a variety of characters yet, it only focus's the Christianity as it's filmed on Christian grounds and showing Christian artefacts, we decided we wanted to open our audience choice and portray images, which fulfil different peoples definition of 'heaven' hence it's not bias to one religion.
As well has having a variety of locations and being less bias we have decided to add more of an story line, it will be simple but there will be a narrative to follow, as of now this is still in discussion. I will conclude in another blog informing you about the narrative we have finally decided on.
